Our showroom has proudly featured on one of London’s most bustling thoroughfares for over 70 years. A gallery of the world’s most unique and rare classic and supercars, inspiring and mesmerising the thousands of commuters who pass by every day. Each week, a new and exciting array of vehicles takes centre stage, from a 911 from the sixties, 993 Turbo S, and Daytona one week, to an E-Type, AC Cobra, and 230 SL Pagoda the next. Despite its current array of top-notch vehicles, this family-run classic and performance car showroom had different beginnings in 1952 as a Renault dealership.
Our History
1950s
Hendon Way Motors opened its doors, supplying unusual and rare vehicles for film production, later becoming becoming an agency for new Renaults - one of the first in London
1960s
In the mid 60s, Anthony Pozner, just twenty years old, joined the family business full time. He introduced Morgan, Lotus, Porsche and Ferrari vehicles with additional incentive of zero- interest credit. Sales rose... .
1970s
This decade saw our involvement in motor racing. Derek Brunt was first on the grid racing a in the Britax Saloon championship, later with a Chevrolet Camaro and Lotus Elan
1980s
Over a four-year period, Robbie Stirling won three championships in our 1976 Ferrari 308 GTB Group 4. With Anthony at the helm, our reputation continue to grow with increased sales, of sought-after top marques.
1990s
This decade saw us cementing our place in the classic car world.. We displayed cars at Goodwood, as well as rallying and entering the hill climbs. Anthony participated in the inaugural Tour Auto, in 1992, driving a 2.7 RS Porsche for the first two years, then a Jaguar E Type. Ultimately, we settled on our favourite, a Ferrari 275 GTB4 which was driven for many consecutive years
2000s
We showed our cars at prestigious european events: Goodwood, Salon Prive, both in Paris and London, Chantilly Palace and the Zoute Grande Grande Prix in Belgium. Prizes were awarded for our 1998 Porsche Turbo S and 1972 Ferrari Daytona
2010s
We participated in many classic car shows. This, along with the explosion of the Internet, has led to a widening of our clientele net
2020s
Popularity of these cars has grown. Collectors appreciate both the artistic and engineering merits of these beautiful cars. The classic car market and interest grows stronger, and is attracting younger enthusiasts than ever before. Some of the great cars from yesteryear are becoming increasingly scarce, and some very limited editions put away in collections never to be seen. It is our remit at Hendon Way Motors, to make sure these cars are available, so people see them on the road, in rallies and various shows, to experience what motoring was like from the 60s and 70s and the design and beauty of these vehicles, which often emphasise the social period of their time.
